The Last Dinosaur are two friends (Jamie Cameron and Luke Hayden with Rachel Lanskey on viola) who stay up very late and make beautiful music, playing all the instruments themselves and letting their imaginations run wild.
Hooray! for Happiness was home recorded on multitrack without the aid of computers and released in April 2010. The album is available to listen to on Spotify and you can own a digital copy through iTunes or order a physical copy from the Rough Trade store.
The band are currently working on the follow-up to Hooray! for Happiness, an album about death entitled The Nothing due for release in the last quarter of 2011. You can download a preview of the album here.

God Is In The TV - "Hooray! For Happiness is a revelation."
Never Enough Notes - "There are gorgeous piano instrumentals, snapped-finger percussion, chiming guitars and almost classical arrangements, and throughout the album lead singer Cameron’s careworn voice and lyrics project an intimacy and thoughtfulness refreshingly free of cynicism."
Echoes and Dust - "Filled with moments of startling beauty and gloriously melodic melancholy."

We have been hibernating for a short while but we’ll have a few exciting things to share in the near future.
Visit http://us-album.com/ to listen and/or buy. Including tracks from Efterklang, Peter Broderick, Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnalds as well as a few friends - Bright Spark Destroyer, Dave Gerard and (the extremely hardworking) Alex Kozobolis.
The Last Dinosaur are featured on the latest episode of our favourite podcast, the Past Present Future Funcast by our good friend Simon Panrucker and future friend Tom Mooring.
Simon caught up with us after our set at The Big Mix and asked us a few uncomfortable questions for the CHILDHOODTRAUMACORNER!?!
The podcast is certainly one of the funniest on the whole of the internets and I urge you to subscribe.

This is a video of a new song recorded at Union Chapel for Daylight Music back in March. It was shot by the brilliant On-Par Productions. Please feel free to share.
